This November, Power Knot will exhibit at International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo 2026 in Orlando for the first time. This will allow the operators, food service teams, and facility managers who keep theme parks, water parks, family entertainment centers, and resorts running every day the opportunity to meet Power Knot and learn about our solutions. We’re also using our first show to put our values into practice. Power Knot has joined the IAAPA Exhibitor Sustainability Pledge, and we’re committing to more than the minimum seven sustainable practices at our booth.
Why the Pledge Matters to Us

Power Knot builds equipment that helps organizations handle organic waste on site. Our flagship product, the LFC biodigester turns food waste into grey water, so it doesn’t have to be hauled to landfill, where it produces methane. The SBT bin tipper and BCG shredder make waste handling safer and more efficient for back-of-house teams.
Our business focuses on cutting waste and emissions in day-to-day operations, so we have to hold our own trade show presence to the same standard. Trade shows can generate a lot of single-use materials, shipping emissions, and leftover print. The IAAPA pledge gives exhibitors a clear framework to cut that footprint, and we’re glad to take part.
Meet the LFC biodigester
The LFC biodigester is an on-site food waste solution designed for busy commercial kitchens. Staff load food scraps directly into the machine throughout the day. Inside, naturally occurring microorganisms break the waste down into grey water, which flows safely to the drain. There’s no need to store food waste in dumpsters, wait for haulers, or deal with odors and pests behind the kitchen.
The LFC biodigester handles most of the food waste a kitchen produces, including fruit and vegetable scraps, meat, fish, dairy, bread, and rice. It runs continuously, so food waste can be added any time during a shift. Each unit also connects to the internet, giving operators reports on how much waste they’re diverting from landfill. Those numbers support sustainability reporting and help teams spot ways to reduce waste at the source.
For attractions, resorts, and entertainment venues, the benefits add up quickly:
- Less trash movement around the park or resort
- Fewer haul trips, which lowers hauling costs and truck emissions
- Cleaner, safer back-of-house areas with less heavy lifting and fewer smelly bins
- Measurable diversion data to support sustainability goals and guest-facing commitments
- Models in a range of sizes to fit everything from a single restaurant to a high-volume central kitchen
Our Commitments at IAAPA Expo 2026
We’ve chosen practices in three areas where we can make a real difference.
Reducing Energy Use and Transport Emissions
- Powering down displays, monitors, and booth lighting after show and setup hours, or switching them to energy-saving mode
- Booking staff accommodations as close to the venue as possible, and walking, carpooling, or using public transportation whenever we can
Designing for Reuse and Resource Efficiency
- Using a reusable booth structure that we’ll bring to future events
- Using reusable flooring
- Reusing display elements at future shows
- Producing graphics that we can reuse at future events
Reducing Print
- Cutting printed materials by using QR codes, links, and digital downloads for product information
- Recycling badges and lanyards in the bins near the building entrances at the end of the show
- Giving away reusable bags to eliminate single-use plastics
None of these steps is dramatic on its own. Together, they add up to a booth that uses less energy, creates less waste, and leaves less behind when the show closes.
Bringing the Conversation to Attractions
Attractions and hospitality venues serve huge numbers of guests, and that means huge amounts of food waste from restaurants, concessions, and catering. A lot of it still goes into dumpsters and onto trucks bound for landfill. That costs operators money in hauling fees and adds to their environmental impact.
At our booth, we’ll show how the LFC biodigester can process food waste right where it’s created. For a busy park or resort, that can mean fewer haul trips, cleaner back-of-house areas, and progress toward sustainability goals that guests increasingly care about. We’ll also show how the SBT bin tipper takes the heavy lifting out of moving waste, helping kitchen and custodial teams work more safely.
We want to hear from operators about their own waste challenges. Every venue is different, and the best solutions come from understanding how your operation runs.
Visit Power Knot at Booth W806
