Farm to Store Waste Solution

Wholesale crop and harvest waste

An estimated $600 billion worth of food is lost globally during or just after harvest. Grocery stores and wholesalers seek solutions to curb food waste, a significant challenge in their operations.

The LFC biodigester is an onsite solution that converts organic waste to water, providing farms and retailers with a practical and eco-friendly tool to address high volume of food waste with minimal impact to the environment.

Tomato farm diverts one ton of plant waste from landfills daily with biodigester

A wholesale distributor was facing a looming problem — as their operations expanded, so did the amount of waste generated as byproducts. With any distribution and wholesale center, organic waste is a normal byproduct of operations and processing facilities. In June 2021, they installed an LFC-1000 biodigester with a built-in bin tipper. On typical work days, the machine digests on average 950 kg (2100 lb) of plant waste per month.
