The LFC biodigester is an advanced food waste management system that utilizes aerobic digestion to break down organic waste into water. By eliminating the need for traditional waste disposal methods, it significantly reduces operational costs and environmental impact.
The LFC biodigester is typically installed in galleys or garbage rooms on vessels, enabling seamless waste processing. Available in nine sizes, these units can process between 10 kg (20 lb) and 6000 kg (13,200 lb) of food waste per day, providing scalable solutions to meet diverse operational needs. The resulting greywater can be discharged or treated through the ship’s sewage treatment plant.
