Despite the ongoing global supply chain issues, Power Knot reached unprecedented environmental milestones in 2022.
- WASTE: Over 7600 tonne (15 million lb) of organic waste has been diverted from the landfill.
- CARBON: Around 32,000,000 kg of CO2e diverted from the atmosphere.
- PLASTIC: Confirmation and proven customer success stories from maritime ships that the inherent design of the LFC biodigesters has kept plastic from entering waste streams and the ocean.
In comparison, customers using the LFC biodigesters diverted 6300 tonne (14 million lb) of organic waste from the landfill in 2020.
“Around 35% of all LFC biodigester machines installed globally have been connected to the internet,” said Iain Milnes, president of Power Knot.
“We estimate that the amount of waste diverted globally by LFC biodigesters in 2022 exceeds 22,000 tonne.”
In 2022, Power Knot was selected as Small CA Business of the Year and the Best Global Waste Solutions Product Provider. The multiple accolades reinforce the company’s strong impact on the environment.
Future of Waste Solutions System
“We’re particularly excited for what 2023 holds for our customers,” said Agile Johns, leading mechanical engineer at Power Knot. “Our product roadmap encompasses a family of waste solutions that directly help our customers with their problems.”
Power Knot’s current offerings include:
A machine that digests most food waste within 24 hours.
These machines are usually installed in a commercial kitchen and reduce the expense, inconvenience, mess, and carbon footprint of disposing of food waste that would otherwise be hauled to a landfill.
Power Knot has eight different sizes that digest from 10 kg (20 lb) per day to 3000 kg (6600 lb) per day of waste food.
SBT Bin Tipper: a stainless steel bin tipper that can handle bins up to 140 litre (35 gallons). It is completely battery powered, waterproof, and fits through standard doorways.
An effluent system can be used in conjunction with the LFC biodigester to pump waste water in places without a grade level drain.
There are currently four models of the WEP Effluent System which have options for a: pump, filter, vacuum, or pH treatment system.
All products can be integrated with each other or used as a standalone system.
