Power Knot LLC, the market leader for onsite organic waste management solutions announced today that it launched an NFC card reader option to existing LFC-VI and LFC-VII biodigesters. Current customers can now purchase a kit to add the NFC Card Reader to their biodigester with simple installation.

The NFC Card Reader add-on allows previous models of the LFC biodigester family to integrate new waste data analytics technology. The NFC Card Reader allows businesses to account for the types or sources of waste entering their waste stream. Businesses can make decisions based upon data to reduce the types or sources of waste, or to base charges on the quantity of waste.

When using an NFC card reader, the administrator would denote that certain cards represent different types of waste, different sources of the waste, or the operator depositing the waste. The LFC biodigester displays numerically and graphically on its color touch screen the amount of waste based on the card that was used. This data is available by the hour, day, week, month, and year.

All LFC biodigesters automatically connect to the LFC Cloud, Power Knot’s revolutionary continuous data analytics system. The LFC Cloud shows statistics on usage, diagnostics, and service schedules, and can be accessed from any device anywhere in the world without installing an app. The LFC biodigester securely sends data about the operation of the LFC biodigester to the server and that data is retained for five years. 

All data that is available on the LFC touch screen is sent to the LFC Cloud where a user can easily create reports for stakeholders. The LFC biodigester is performing the dual functions of categorizing the waste and disposing of it in one machine.
