This milestone enhances the accessibility of sustainable food waste solutions for facilities that observe religious laws.

The Kosher Certification of Compliance confirms that the LFC biodigesters meet halachic requirements for use in environments that observe the Sabbath and Jewish holidays, enabling operation without violating prohibitions on work. The certification followed a comprehensive review of the system’s automation, software, and control architecture to ensure full compatibility with religious observance.

The LFC biodigester is a fully automated, on-site machine that digests food waste using a biological process, significantly reducing landfill contributions and cutting greenhouse gas emissions. With models processing between 10 kg (25 lb) and 6000 kg (13,200 lb) of food waste per day, the LFC biodigester is ideal for commercial kitchens or food service providers.

The new Sabbath Mode feature includes:

  • Pre-programmed operation for non-intervention during Sabbath or Yom Tov
  • Assured safety for the operator
  • Non-intrusive status indicators in compliance with halachic standards
